Our TLA 2018-2019 President-Elect has passed away.

I’m very sorry to announce that Heather Lanier (pictured on the right at our April 2018 conference in Chattanooga) who was to be our incoming TLA President has passed away.

Please visit and contribute to the gofundme page https://www.gofundme.com/v6sc6-helping-heather to assist her family with any expenses.

In lieu of flowers, her family asked for donations to Beesley Animal Foundation, https://www.facebook.com/beesleyfoundation/ in her honor.

Open Call for Program Proposals for 2018 TLA Conference

We are now soliciting proposals for the 2018 conference in Memphis! This year’s theme is “All In”.
What are you passionate about this year? Is there a program or service that you have put your heart into and want to share with other libraries? We want to hear you brag and talk about what makes you excited to be in the library profession.
The deadline is September 19th and we can’t wait to see your proposal about what you, your community, and your library are “All In” to and enjoying.

“SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 738: A RESOLUTION recognizing the role of libraries in empowering the citizens of Tennessee.”
