Tennessee Loves Libraries in February 2012

15 Nov

Join libraries across the state of Tennessee as we gather and share our stories and the stories of our patrons this February.  Use the Tennessee Loves Libraries postcards to document your stories and deliver them to your state legislators and funding bodies.  Post your stories, photos, and videos  here for all of us to hear how libraries are impacting their communities across the state.

How to Participate:

  1. Register your library and dates of participation.  See participating libraries.
  2. Print the postcards out and distribute to your library users when they visit.  Use any of the other materials provided.
  3. Post your patron’s stories.
  4. Deliver the postcards to your local legislator’s office and take a picture of the delivery OR save the postcards and deliver them to your local legislators on Library Legislative Day April 9th.    Post pictures of the delivery at the TLA Flickr Group using the #TNloveslibraries2012.
  5. Take pictures of your patrons using and loving any library service. Post them on the TLA Flicker Pool using the hashtag, #TNloveslibraries2012.
  6. Get creative and make a video showing your love for your library and patrons or of them saying what they love about your library.  Check out and add to the Ideas! page.  Have fun!
